Welcome to Mviringo
Where Women
Connect & Prosper
We help women’s chamas in Kenya’s informal trade and agro-artisanal sectors grow stronger, work together, improve their businesses and incomes, and speak up for their rights.

Mama Bora

Why Mviringo?
Strong chamas.
Stronger choices.
A chama is a place where women meet, save, support one another and plan for the future. Through table-banking, members pool their money and invest in one another’s goals.
Women in informal trade and agro-artisanal businesses often face harassment, discrimination, limited access to money and little say in decisions that affect their work. Mviringo helps chamas grow stronger and connect so women can improve their livelihoods, stand up for their rights and have a stronger voice.
What women gain
Learning that connects
to everyday work.
Practical learning, stronger group systems, economic opportunity and collective voice—rooted in the situations women face in markets, farms, small businesses and community groups.

Stronger Chamas
Better records, clearer roles, stronger governance and practical group management.

Business & Financial Skills
Practical learning in budgeting, saving, digital tools, business decisions and growth.

Leadership & Voice
Confidence, rights awareness, leadership practice and constructive engagement on issues affecting women.
Where we work
10 counties. One connected programme.
Chama leaders, trainers and county coordinators work together so support stays close to women’s everyday realities—including members without phones or who need help to register.
Our role
Implemented by Ushindi Empowerment Group.
Ushindi Empowerment Group implements Mviringo as part of its work to transform lives and empower communities. The programme brings practical learning and local support together to strengthen women-led chamas, livelihoods and collective voice.

Take the next step
Your chama starts the journey.
The chama leader registers the group first. Once approved, members can be onboarded
with support from the leader or county coordinator.
Applications, programme updates and participant services are available on the Mviringo website.
