Monica Waithera is the Operations Manager at Cedro Enterprises, a family-owned business founded by her husband over five years ago. It is located in Nakuru town in Kenya.
Cedro Enterprises deals with the supply of various products to wholesalers. Their main focus is stationery targeted to students under the brand name ‘Dominion’ and small hardware products e.g. padlocks, door locks, etc. registered under the brand name ‘Zion’. Their customers span six counties currently and growing.
Monica is passionate about empowering people and has the rare trait of celebrating the success of others. A good example is her initiative to train a group of elderly women how to make soaps and other detergents and helped them look for the market until they were established. Together as a family they have registered a foundation by the name Hobab Foundation to support the needy, and have been doing it partially. In addition, she helped to set up a call center for one of the biggest churches in Kenya so that many people can receive the help they needed.
Her business acumen has developed over the years have ventured into business immediately after high school to enable her to pay school fees for her siblings. She never runs short of creative ideas and innovative solutions to any challenge that comes along her way. Having a higher diploma in counseling and psychology, training in sales and customer service plus an outgoing personality has helped her in dealing with staff and customers.
When not busy working or helping others, she loves to spend time with their two children, reading a book or listening to audio teaching. Last but not least she is also an author.
