Damaris Mukui Musembi is a self-driven, innovative, and diligent IT professional with a passion for entrepreneurship. With over 10 years of experience in the IT field, she is an ICT Officer with the County Government of Kisii, Directorate of ICT. She holds a Master of Science in Computer Science (M.Sc. CS) and a Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA) both from Periyar University in India. She also holds a certificate in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) from CDAC, in Noida, India.
She is a trained and experienced strategic leader and senior manager having completed a 4weeks Senior Management Course and a 6-week Strategic Leadership and Development Programme both at the Kenya School of Government in Baringo, Kenya.
She is an alumnus of the Academy for Women Entrepreneurs (AWE) Kenya, funded by the US Embassy, in Nairobi. A program that equips women with the tools needed to create and grow their own businesses. She is the CEO of Marriane’s Fish and Chips a fast-food retail outlet she currently runs on the side. She is also the founder of KoiTech Consultancy an IT-based consultancy startup that provides hardware and software solutions to small and medium-sized businesses.
When not working, she enjoys spending time with her family and raising their two sons. Additionally, she also enjoys cooking, hosting, and traveling. She also has the green thumb of the family and enjoys gardening, farming, and rearing chickens. She strives for continuous improvement and growth in all her endeavors thus, she is always looking out for new opportunities to learn and develop her skills further. She extends her knowledge through talks and conversations with her colleagues and peers. Her strong organizational and interpersonal skills have enabled her to establish and maintain positive working relationships among her colleagues and in being a team player. Many times, even voted to lead diverse teams as the team leader.
