Assumpta Mutinda Musyoki

i am a 32-year-old female currently training on a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Finance option from Moi University

.
Three years before the year 2000, my educational journey began at a slum school in one of Nairobi’s suburbs, Mukuru Kayaba. It led to the attainment of my first schooling certificate (KCPE) in the year 2004, followed by my second schooling certificate (KCSE) in the year 2008. Being an average student at the time, I chose to enhance my skills by undertaking a Diploma in Business Administration from Kenya Methodist University. In the year 2011, I graduated.

In addition to managing my family on day to day, I own a grocery, cereals, spices, and cafe business under the name Malia Farm Foods, located at Annex, in Eldoret.. We are yet to break even in sales amidst several other challenges of business operation that we continue to address. This is because our business started operating a few months before COVID 19 hit and has been limping on the same from then coupled with high inflation of goods in the country, we have had a fair share of challenges just to mention a few but we are committed to making it grow as per our plan, objectives and goals.

As a way to broaden my knowledge in business and sharpen my management skills, I enrolled on AWE Program, 2022 Cohort, sponsored by American Embassy. It educates, empowers and equips women with knowledge on how to run successful businesses. I look forward to greater learning, networking and acumen in matters business at the end of the training.
